Well day one went ok. Did everything right so pretty happy.Didn't get much in the way of exercise but I will ease into that gradually. I did have a fantastic idea for my bush garden. A cement slab and seat, mosaiced. Is that even a word. Should I just say, with mosaic on it? Who knows and really, who cares. Got out and checked out the garden and all seems to be as I left it. Cooked up the dog food and left to cool.
So now about today.
Did a heap of stuff, like drop the girl off at work then go into Boonah and get containers for the dog food I now make after realising how hideously expensive bought dog food is. I am sure I can feed my dogs much better food for less money. Chicken is cheap and so is gravy beef and veges and rice and oats and stuff.
Anyway, I got to do a lot of walking as I kept retracing my steps after realising that the shop I wanted to go to now was back past the one I just came from! All good exercise tho. Then I listened to the cd that Daisy gave me over the weekend, just love it and played it really loud in the car then really loud in the house for the benefit of the evil teen who was hiding in his bedroom.
Rained all day and very cold again. Dogs shivering.
Food all good. I do need to buy some more bread as the only loaf I have is very high in points. It's okay tho as I will be in Boonah again tomorrow looking at washing machines. Finally after 15 years the good old F and P has gone pfffffsssssttt. It did it in a big way too. Sitting here last night and suddenly the most scary noise! Looked around and couldn't see anything and then when the girl got home from work she went to do some washing and nada. No lights no sound nothing. Very bad time to blow up as money very tight. Will need to be very discerning about what I buy. I am quietly relieve in a way as the bloody thing drove me nuts and I really hated it. The fins on the agitator had a gap between them and the agitator so straps always got caught as you were emptying it so now I can buy one that does not have this problem.
I have to start thinking about planting the roses out soon, I know they will do really well in the prepared beds and look fantastic as you come up the drive. I really can't wait for next year to see the full effect. I have so many ideas for this block (yes all 9 acres) that I would love a team of gardeners and unlimited funds to get it going in a hurry. Gardens are time based and the longer it takes to plant up,the longer it takes to get established. I have been thinking about a mostly native garden as it will have more chance of surviving the extremes. Or just plain surviving. Paths to link the seating areas together too. Surprise niches that you come across by accident almost. It really is a very pretty block and I look forward so much to opening it up.
ok bored now.
